ZorroSign is an app that helps users quickly sign digital documents from any device, anywhere, anytime with full legal enforceability using their unique digital signature solution for superior privacy and security. ZorroSign helps encrypt, protect and secure your documents with its own blockchain user authentication providing a better-than-bank level of unprecedented security. It allows users to use the dashboard anytime 24/7, realtime status of every transaction, available to every authorized user.
From a UX/UI perspective, my aim was to design a simple, easy, and intuitive user journey for our customers to ensure a seamless, stress-free digital signature experience. The app is completely outdated in terms of guidance, usability, accessibility and flexibility. The goal is to transform the application to improve its UX for fast, compliant digital transactions without any problems. I have also been given the flexibility of the project from branding to the end product design. I joined the project during phase 2, supporting the CEO and product managers to validate all the user flows and scenarios covered in scope and documenting any UX/UI defects to be addressed.
I had the opportunity to gather some data from the sales and customer service departments to understand the users and their needs. Some of the industries that many rely on ZorroSigns for superior digital signatures security and management are real estate, financial services, government, healthcare and legal industries
" Slow navigation to complete digital documents. As a professional of the legal department, I need a faster and smoother experience from uploading the document to completing the document. "
" No guidance on how to use the document upload options: Quick Sign, E-Sign & Bulk Sign. What does this mean and how to efficiently upload and complete documents without scratching my head all the time? "
" The tasks to complete the documentation flow are very long and tedious. I need a system that will quickly help upload my document based on my preferred option and complete without any hassle. "
" Template creation flow is very long and needs to be reduced to fewer screens for faster template creation. Also it will be really helpful, if thumbnails of the templates can be shown in the managed templates for better visibility. "
" I have eye sight issues and I prefer to use any application in dark mode for better accessibility. The app currently does not have that feature and it bothers me when completing long tedious tasks. "
These user groups help us define the problems the users are facing while using the ZorroSign app in terms of usability, flexibility, accessibility etc. These will be really helpful when kept in mind while re-designing the screens for better user experience.
Based on the painpoints of user groups, I built a user persona that represents the ideal target audience of the app where most of the problems are common to all other groups. This will be used as a representation of the customers to marketing and development teams to ensure all stakeholders have the same target in mind when we contribute to the app re-design process.
" I need a secure digital app that will help keep all sensitive documents related to employees, company confidential data secure from hackers or anyone that can manipulate it. We also would love to reduce costs by eliminating hard and soft expenses of paper, printing, couriers etc. A well built dashboard for every document transaction is also necessary which will increase transparency of the business documents. The document flow should also be simple and easy to use from sending a document such as an employee contract to a candidate for digital signature. "
Jenny is a HR consultant who works for a large distribution company. She loves automation and believes that modern problems require modern solutions. She finds the current process of hiring employees long and tedious and truly believes a digital app that provides secure digital document transactions will be the perfect solution. Security, compliance, transparency and efficiency is key to ensure her work is at its optimum and best quality.
Jenny is an HR consultant that manages all legal work of the company's employees data, confidential legal documents etc. She disapproves of the current process and technologies of receiving signatures on the documents and saving it using old technologies where hackers can easily manipulate the documents and cost the business millions.

The purpose of this phase is to understand the competition around the business to ensure zorrosign has a competitive edge by analyzing their competitors features and services to look for gaps that zorrosign can use as opportunities. The following guidelines have been developed to ensure the necessary, consistent and proper usage of this visual and vocal representation of the brand. The ZorroSign brand is bold and strong, representing strength and security. The colors selected reflect that by adding bold, strong vibrance to our communications. The font represents modern, clean and sans-serif which easily creates a distinctive recognizable look for ZorroSign.
Once the branding system is finalised, I worked on the sketches of the screens obeying the branding practises and guidelines. The approach was to ensure usability of the app is at its optimum where user does not have to go through long, tedious and time-consuming screens to complete a simple task.
